Some time ago I read in an ESS report that all these microscopic converter chips were not designed for pocket DACs at all, but to be directly integrated into wired headphones and thus solve the problem of the lack of an analog output. And since then, only one such copy fell into my hands and it was, let's say, at the dawn of their development. And what was my surprise when, after so many years, Moondrop, a company popular among music lovers, presented just such a solution. They called it Droplet because of the drop-shaped case. Inside which, by the way, only one reinforcing emitter works. The cable, of course, is non-removable, but with a headset unit and, you guessed it, a Type C plug.
