In the wake of the success of the whole line of DX3 DACs, Topping has released a more premium DX5 model, which we have already reviewed, and the hero of our today's review: DX1. So the company selects for itself the entire niche of relatively inexpensive stationary devices. Moreover, the manufacturer decided not to skimp this time either, installing the freshest Asahi Kasei AK4493S converter and the original second-generation XMOS USB chip. That is, there will be a full-fledged ASIO interface, and support for all types of operating systems. There is only one input here, of course, a very budget device, but there is a linear output and two for headphones with a slightly different sound. Power as much as 280 mW at 32 ohm load, volume with a huge margin and, even more pleasantly, USB power. That is, it is, consider, a mobile device that can be connected, including to the phone. A very curious device, I am completely delighted with it.
