Developing the ideas laid down in the TA3 headphones, TRN has added another exactly the same Knowles 33518 armature driver, the form factor itself has acquired a semi-open design, the impedance has increased to 20 ohms and slightly reduced sensitivity, which is now only 105dB. But that's not the main thing, it's important that TRN finally got the AFC tuning down to the ground. This makes the TA4 a completely different headphone, although undoubtedly with common roots.
